Default Break caliper seized

My first major bill. 2011 with 60k ......started with humming noise when I breaked or at slow speed. The noise went away for few days then it came back with little more vengeance. The dealer said my caliper seize and they un-seized it for 149 and it needed pads @ $599. Two weeks ago I got the oil changed the dealer said my pads had maybe 50% wear, I guess now worsened.... I was not expecting major bill until another 30k or so ...atleast my Acura tsx I got my first repair bill at 90k ...little disappointed with Lexus so far, main reason I bought Lexus to not deal with this crap. Not happy with 800$ bill ...I guess I make it without any other bills for another 2 years I am braking even with TSX.

Wow!!
Usually brake calipers only seize when they have rust in the piston caused by moisture in the brake fluid. For $600, I sure hope they included a fluid change with that.

Not really sure. The dealer tried to convince me that your lucky we can un-seized it most car you cant. He also said he had a car with 15k that had brake calipers seized. It happens
