Which Fuse protects the USB Port?
Hello Everyone! I need some help!
Does anyone know which fuse protects the USB port mounted on the right side of the console? I have a 2010 HS250h. I wasn't paying attention and tried to plug the wrong end of my iPod cable into the USB port and shorted it out (I think...all I know is the radio does not recognize my iPod). I checked the owner's manual and could not find a specific reference to a fuse for the USB port.
I sure hope someone can help!

You can start pulling fuses and identify the one that has the broken wire. The fuse boxes are usually in 2 places. One is inside the car near the drivers left foot somewhere. Then under the hood should be a box. Both of these usually have a key printed inside their covers that identifies the fuses. Check the owners manual for more help finding them.

Thanks for responding! I was hoping to avoid pulling and checking each fuse. The fuse box under the hood is easily accessible. But the fuse box under the dash is fairly easy to access; but getting the fuses out is a nightmare! The fuses are really small and tightly packed together. The keys inside the covers of each of the fuse boxes are pretty generic and none of them contain a reference to USB. The owner's manual is more descriptive; but again, no mention of USB.

Well you can narrow it down and begin by checking the lowest rated fuses first as I bet it is a 10 or 15 amp fuse.
