Default 2010 electronics problem?

I have a 2010 HS and have been having intermittent problems with the electronics. Sometimes when I push the am/fm band button the power goes off. A couple times when I used the volume buttons on the steering wheel it changed the radio station. It often won't recognize my ipod when it's connected. Sometimes the audio goes off entirely and it won't turn on again for ten minutes or so. The Navigation also has gotten slower at voice recognition. But until these get frequent enough to reliably reproduce at the dealer, I can't get them fixed. My concern is the expense of this when it ultimately fails, and I am coming to the end of my factory warranty.
I am not sure whether to buy an extended warranty, sell the car, or just hope it never goes completely bust.
Any suggestions?

if it's still under warranty, just take it to the dealer and explain it. Lexus is usually pretty good about making things right for the customer. They probably have some standard tests they can run. And, even if they don't find it, if it goes bad later you have proof that it started during the warranty period.

Good luck! That seems like a weird gremlin in your computing system.

Yup take it to the dealer so it is documented, that is crucial. While not common, I have heard of those "gremlins" before - but uncertain of any fix

Make sure it's documented at the dealer. I had a similar situation where my GPS in my sienna would randomly have difficulty reading the disk and show static on the screen. The dealer was never able to reproduce the issue so they could not get authorization to replace it. I even made a video recording when it happened and supplied it to the dealer, but that still was not enough proof. A few months after the warranty expired the player completely stopped reading the disk. I had to call extended warranty and the finally approved the replacement since the issue was well documented before the warranty expired. I can't guarantee you will have the same experience, however they assured me that if I had not had it documented they would not have replaced it. And I believe them.
