How do you stream music from a Blutooth Phone??
I have an HTC EVO, and, every other car I have, streams music via bluetooth from the phone to the cars sound system; for some reason, this car will NOT do it..
I called Lexus corporate, and even was elevated to their sound specialist, who couldn't really give me an answer.
I love streaming Pandora, Slacker, and other stuff from my phone, to my car, and its very frustrating not to be able to do it..
I have the premium model, with the premium sound system..
Thanks if you can help!!

Are you able to make calls with your EVO via Bluetooth in your HS?
After you register a device, it should also work for music. If you have the navigation, select:
1) Setup
2) Audio
3) Select Portable Player
If it's empty, you haven't registered a player yet. You can store up to two. You should have a blue Bluetooth symbol indicating it's working.
If you haven't programmed in your EVO, you'll need to select Bluetooth Audio Settings under Audio > then select Register.
If everything is programmed, just select AUX from the dash and make sure you've selected an album or song from your music library on your EVO.
On the iPhone, you can use the steering wheel controls to skip or go back on your songs inthe library. Not sure if it's the same on the EVO.
Hope you're able to figure it out.

Yes, the "phone" function works just fine in the car, that is not the issue.
For some reason, the "phone" part of the equation shows up under "phones"..
Should the Evo show up under "phones" AND "portable music player"?
If I register it as a portable music player, then the phone functions dont work; thats whats so weird about it.
I am a phone/bluetooth expert, so i do know how to pair the evo to any sort of bluetooth device; and, I am sure that it needs to be registered as a "phone", and not as a bluetooth audio player, as the phone functions won't work if its registered that way...
Do you have a Android phone that makes phone calls AND streams music via Bluetooth?
thanks..

All I did was pair my iPhone to the car, then when I click on AUX button on the dash, music just starts playing from my iPhone. It was the simplest setup I have experienced so far.

Yeh, the pairing with the iPhone is so simple. I had some issues with it when I tried to pair my work phone (not Android, though). I had to remove all of them and re-pair. It works great now.

Well, I sent this info to my wife earlier, and she was able to stream music from her Android phone with no problems..It may be a problem with my phone, so I'll try it later when she gets home.
Thanks for your help!

I had an EVO and paired it up fine with the car. I currently have another android phone, the samsung fascinate (galaxy S) and it works great too.
What version of the OS is the EVO running? For sure if you root your phone you can put on any baseband and a2dp protocol.

I have been able to use my iPhone bluetooth for phone calls and it has worked, I have been trying to sync my iPhone via bluetooth for Pandora for months, and all I could do was sync with either AUX or USB. These instructions worked great once I got it registered.
Pandora via Bluetooth and it is SWEET.
Thanks for the Forum.
