As for the extended warranty, if you are a member of COSTCO, they offer a real nice plan. Search for auto warranty.
Some of the plans outside of the dealer I do not trust. Most of them seem to go bankrupt after they have your money and leave you holding worthless paper.

I located the person I bought a warranty from for my wife's 06 Prius and he is still selling the OEM warranty's at his dealership at a very good price, on line also. If anyone wants his contact info let me know. Thanks for the help.

My warranty expires at the end of January. Called up a dealer and they wanted $2500 to extend to 7 years and 70K miles. I think its a lot, any recommendations? I do not trust aftermarket warranty.
