Default joined HS family!

Hi all, we just picked up a CPO 2010 HS last Friday for my wife & she couldn't be happier.
We were a little nervous about buying a pre-owned vehicle for the first time, but with such a positive ownership experience I had with my RX for 2 years since day 1, we decided to pull the trigger on HS anyway

We like the car very much, almost like a small family reunion when both are parked inside garage. We feel RX & HS had the closest family resemblance~

I do plan on doing some basic cosmetic mods that's often discussed on HS forum, led interior lights, HID & maybe the illuminated door sill.

took some quick shots inside the garage today:

anyhow, just wanted to say hi to the HS community~

Andy

Hey Andy, welcome to the HS250 forum. Good looking pair of vehicles you got there.

Welcome, and looking good!

I wanted to do the sill upgrade too. Saw a used pair online and missed them, so if you do the upgrade, be sure and let us know how it went and how you did it.

thank you Dave, I'm really tempted to install those~ I saw the video instruction at CT forum & hopefully the procedure will be similar on our HS. will poke around the car this weekend and see whats under the original plastic sill.

Welcome! I'm a new owner as well, getting 38+mpg, very thrilled. I was lucky enough to have the lit door sills, they are pretty cool. If you do buy from Sewell, make sure you register your user name with their site (when you register, it will ask you for your username). You will get a HUGE discount on that item...I think it knocks 200 bucks or so off of that item.

Good luck and happy driving!
Jon

I haven't installed the sills. Shopped around at Sewell for them, but haven't bit the bullet and bought the yet.

double checked with sewell today & the rear sills are just steel plates, not sure why I thought the rear would light up as well

Can someone recommend a tool for removing the door courtesy lights? my old trusty tiny screw driver can't even get in there...

Wow !! 200 bucks? Good tip. I'll have to check that out.

$200 off makes it worth getting new instead of waiting for some used ones to pop up on ebay or Yahoo Japan.

The reason I wonder if anyone has done the upgrade is, that some are "plug and play". And I think I read somewhere that some HS's were pre-wired with the power plug for the sill ready to go, and some were not, and in that case, you needed to splice wires.
