I know there are a few of us out there, but to all SC400 owners here in the 808. Have any of you done any performance upgrades other than intake and exhaust. Also has anybody ventured to think about the 5spd or 6spd swap. I thought about the swap but was wondering if anyone else here has or is planning to?

Search under SC400/300 -> Performance. You'll find wealth of information there regarding transmission swap. From what I've read, it seems it's more cost effective to go 1JZ due to the fact that going manual with 1UZ is not a bolt on affair.

yeah if u want to go manual, looks like just swappin the engine would be better. or can just put in a heavy duty auto trans and shift it.

I know some people have swapped it, but I didnt know if anyone in Hawaii has yet. To keep the 1UJ with a 5spd would be realy rare and diffrent.

the reason also is i want to build my sc as s drift project. It is possible with a auto, but would be much better to be slidin with the 5spd. Does anybody know of any SC drifter in Hawaii, let alone any Lexus sliders. And no Im not a 240 guy converted...
