Question IS350 owner to be looking for Hawaii referals

Were are the best (local) places to have work like tint & clearbra installation done? Please share any other good experiances or nightmare stories with local shops you & your Lexus may have had. I would like to hear them. Mahalo

My wife and i own a 350 and haven't had to change tires yet. We only have 5000 miles on it so far however when I do need to change tires I'm going with the BFG KDW2's. Have them on my TSX and they're awesome, not to mention only $150/tire for 17"s. They're available at Costco.

I went to TintZone in Kalihi. Went with the Madico 20% True Black. Good service. I got to watch Kill Bill while they tinted it. Cool guy

I went to TINTCO 955-8468. Great Job on the Tint and they also do the Clear bra for the hood.

Thanks Lekusasu for the referal. I'm gonna call, kinda cerious which clearbra they install and cost??? The one TNT "laser cuts" and installs isn't mentioned in this forum but does have a lifetime warranty. TNT quoted me ~$800.00 for bumper, fender & hood clearbra package and ~$350.00 for ceramic tint. They will also install another manufactures clearbra.

Anyone using ceramic tint?

My co-worker's wife's 350 has ceramic tint. It's supposed to drastically reduce heat and won't interfere with the electronics of the car like cheaper metallic films. That's all fine and dandy but i wasn't about to spend $400 for tint so I went with a True Grey type film.

Ceramic tint is worth it in my opinion, we live in sunny 80+ degree weather 95% of the time. Call Al at Al's Tinting 484-5093 and go down for a demo, they have a flood lamp shining thru all the tints and you can notice a difference.

I personally agree with Dr. Jekyll on this.

I spoke to the people at Tintco and I was told that they intall the 3M product (clear bra)from Xpel at www.xpel.com . I was also told that the price you see listed is the price they will install it for. Seems like like a better deal than TNT not to mention the product may be better quality too. Tinto does not install ceramic tint but some kinda "Nano" tint??? They say a it's superior to ceramic.

On a different note.... regarding stereo installation. Were does a person go for quility installation?
