Default Bosch HEPA Cabin Air Filter $10

Shopping around for a cabin air filter, I saw these on sale from Amazon for around $10. Not in stock for about 2-3 weeks tho. They’ll ship out once arrives.

it's $21 for one that fit the GX, a bit expensive just for the name.

You can get 2 of these and change every 6 months.

The first one is HEPA. HEPA on it usually means the price is 2-5x more (at least for my shop vac its like 10 regular vs 45 HEPA).
at $10 for a HEPA cabin, I think I might start getting those. HEPA can stop real small stuff. Im not pollen allergic, but for those folks this would be great.

And compared to the stealership, they wanted $45 plus tax to change my cabin filter. Bahahahah yeah Im going to pay that sure.....

The $10 is “Sold by Amazon” only, the higher prices are from 3rd parties. Hope that helps

Yes HEPA filters are very different from regular cabin air filters. They filter a lot more stuff, sacrificing a little bit of air volume.

If anyone has it.......does it reduce airflow?? This is somewhat expected given that it is more "restrictive"...but is it noticeable? And if it is more restrictive, then does that mean that you have to replace it more often since it traps everything?

I also am wondering the same thing. Does the HEPA have more folds/surface area? Is it thinner material? How much if any does it reduce air flow comparing to a new standard filter?
many filter tests actually lay out the material to get a linear comparison (assuming the same height).
Once I use up my current supply of charcoal versions, I might try the HEPA.

So I ordered both the HEPA above as well as the SierraBreeze charcoal one I posted. I always used charcoal so will see how the HEPA goes.

My SierraBreez arrived and when I went to install it, I realized I have a washable one in there lol. So this one will go into the Camry. I cancelled the HEPA since I won’t be using it.

Got this. It smells good so far! How long before I should change this out?

I recently installed the HEPA filter, works great. Airflow is slightly restricted but it’s not that bad.

Since it’s more restricted than OEM, I would change sooner than the recommended interval.

I just swapped mine out too, super quick and easy. cant believe the dealership charges to install these things.
it had a little bit of funk at first but that quickly went away.
