Default I hope there's room for a newbie! Color Combo help..

Hello everyone!

I am new to your group, but I've been lurking for awhile getting a feel for how this works. Anyway, we are meeting our dealer in a few hours to order my very first Lexus. We are set on the 2017 RX 460 (Premium) in Starfire Pearl, but I am completely split between the Black and Sepia interior choice. I have two little boys (2 and 5) and we do quite a bit of driving, so my cars have to be tough. My current SUV has black leather (and we are in Texas) and I've liked it...but would love a change. Can anyone give me opinions not these two options...specifically when paired with the Pearl? Thank you so much in advance!

Never seen a Sepia interior. I have the parchment, and I see every mark, stain. It's a lot of work to keep it clean. But I like the looks

IMO.. Stay with black, you have so much less to worry about, especially with kids.

I got the light grey interior and even though I am happy (less than 1 week ownership), I know at some point, I will regret it and wish I got black. lol

The local Lexus dealer tried to sell me a RX with some sort of light colored interior. They said they'll cover any interior stains for XX years... I said no thanks and give me black since i have kids...

Ummm...I think you may be mistaken. Firstly I think you are looking at the GX 460 (you wrote RX 460 above). Clarification would be great! Are you looking for the one with the V6 or the V8?

The GX is available in Starfire Pearl and has the option for either the Black or Sepia(brown) interior. I personally would go for the Sepia as I feel black is sometimes too depressing. In addition, most dirt is a dark brown color and brown leather will look cleaner than black leather in the long run. Finally, the combination of Black interior with White exterior is very cliche with luxury cars. A lot of people go with that combination. I personally feel that White with a Brown interior looks a little more classy.

Now, if you are looking at the RX, I say Eminent White Pearl and Noble Brown Leather for the same reasons as above.

If it is the GX you are looking for, I would recommend posting in the GX section: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...0-present-219/ I'd also recommend the Sport Design Package, unless you don't want the captain's chairs in the second row! Happy car shopping...

As Curryolla said, the Sepia is a GX interior color option.. I like the Sepia interior on the GX and if I was to buy a GX it would probably be with that interior..

Welcome to CL...

Beware of the lighter colors as they will show stains quickly. Even the blue from your blue jeans will transfer and is very hard to get rid of. After owning a parchment interior I am all black now and for now on.

The sepia interior looks nice as you can find black leather in most vehicles. The choice is yours.

Admin please move this thread to the GX - 2nd Gen forum.

TJStephens, Curryolla is correct. The new RX350 Premium only comes in Emminent White Pearl. F-Sport is available in Ultra White. The GX 460, on the otherhand, comes in Starfire Pearl.
