Default Swap Bridgestones for Michelin Latitudes for $580?

Dealer put new Bridgestones on the '12 GX I'm about to buy in order to certify it. I asked to swap for Michelins (Latitude Touring is what's on offer), and he said it would be $580 more. Is it worth it?

I already negotiated sales price down a lot so i don't think they'll come off the $580.

My dealer charged $350 or $385, can't remember, to swap out the Bridgestones for Michelin LTX MS2s. It was the difference in price plus mount and balance for all 5 tires (spare included). I know others here have paid less or maybe even nothing so I'd work on them a bit more.

Go with the Michelin LTX M/S2's, they're a much better tire than the Latitude Tour's. I had the Latitude Tour HP's on my 2010 and they wore pretty fast. The MS/2's are also much better in the snow and ice as well as lasting a lot longer. Look up cost on http://www.tirerack.com
You should only have to pay the difference. If they really want your business, they will throw them in at no cost.

I'll second to skip the Latitude Tours. I didn't read that they were offering the Latitudes in your first post. I wouldn't pay anything for them, definitely get the LTX MS2s.

Thx to both for the specific recs. Stuck with the Bridgestones for free and will sell them. Set to get the Michelin Ltx m/s2s put on tomorrow for $160/tire. Should work out ok...when I made the deal I was getting older Michelin lats that were on the truck so it's an upgrade for me either way.
