Sadly, no Lexus Enform or Apps in the Middle east. Maps come on SD cards that get updated (or checked for updates) when its in for service.

I have the show notifications setting turned on and I can not get text messages.

The only message will be displayed and readable by GX system is SMS message, If all your messages received are iMessages, it won't work.
