Lightbulb Sun Shade recommendations?

Hi guys. Have owned the GX for a little over a year now and due to this Covid thing, the car has been parked in direct sunlight more often. I am wondering if you guys are using a sun shade that goes under the windshield? If so, can you guys recommend a good one? I don't mind paying for a high quality piece that will last and fold up nicely.

I have had a UVS100 from Covercraft for a few years. I would recommend it. It has a good fit, folds easily and has been durable.

Three years now, holding up great and it is a PERFECT fit. I liked it so much, I got one for my LS and my ES also, all from Bell Lexus. Highly recommend!

This is made by a company called Intro-Tech and has Lifetime warranty, you can also find it on Amazon (
link link
). Compared to the Covercraft (
link link
) -I have had this one for my other car-, they seems to keep the heat away similarly, both are built very similarly but the Covercraft materials are of better quality, both have similar thickness but the Covercraft is a bit heavier/beefier. In terms of looks, the Covercraft looks nicer, I don't really like the super shiny material on the Intro-tech. Intro-Tech is $50 and the Covercraft is $65. I ended up buying for the Intro-tech because the UVS100 was backordered when I needed it, wish I had been more patient and got the Covercraft...

I ended up purchasing the Covercraft from Amazon and received it today. I must say that it is well constructed and fitment is excellent. I hope this will last for years to come. Thanks again guys.

Guys I purchased a custom sun shade from Cover King. It fits and works great. I am really happy with it. I got lucky and purchased it from costco website for $30 on sale. Regular price is $38.

Yeah, I got one from Walmart for about $8 - not an absolutely perfect fit, but pretty damned good.

I use a Covercraft on my MK3 Supra, and it works great for that, but I use an Autotech Zone sunshade for my GX. I like the fact that it's flexible and kinda stays in place better without as much assistance from the visors being flipped down. It's also a lot cheaper than the Covercraft.

I got one from Costco for $12 and it comes with 2 extra small side shades for back rows too. Fit really well, very light and easy to fold up for storage. Works nicely.

just picked up the UVS100 and im a little disappointed due to gaps at the top, bottom and sides, for something 'made to fit' i expected the spaces to be less. even better would be not needing to use the sun shades to hold it up.

Default Sun Shade

I purchased a 2017 GX on Sunday and will post about it separately.

I own a 2005 4Runner.
I previously possessed a 4-piece Cee Bailey sun shade for it that included sun shade pieces for driver and passenger front side door windows.

Unfortunately, Cee Bailey stopped manufacturing sun shades for autos.

Are Covercraft sun shades the best sun shades presently on the market?

Default shades for side windows

I found shades specifically made for side windows of 2010 to 2013 GX 460’s.
