Wow 17-18 around town, you must be babying that truck. Sounds like your wife runs it like I do

In the summer, I'm getting 15-16 MPG in city driving. In the winter, mileage wasn't as good with cold weather and winter blend fuel. I run Mobil 93 octane premium.

Almost 6k miles, tow a boat and snowmobile, do around town driving mostly and fast highway, not crazy driver but not babying it. 16.5 mpg since new as calculated by truck. I can see summer gas beginning to boost the number, I think.

About the same for me. I just don't think about it anymore, these are not efficient vehicles.

I hope Lexus comes up with something better in the future on the gas mileage. I have 20,000 miles on my 2014 and I never seem to get anything better than an average of 15mpg. It is a real gas guzzler when you are in Atlanta rush hour traffic. I can go through a quarter of a tank going 30 miles in stop and go traffic. I have mentioned this factor in all the surveys they send me. I compare it to the fact that I have driven new 2014 rental vehicles like the Chevy Suburban and Dodge Ram 1500 that get over 20 mpg with more weight and bigger engines. I love driving the GX. The touch screen makes a world of difference compared to our RX with the mouse.

I get 15 in the city and 20 on the highway without babying it. No comment on your comparison to a Suburban or Ram 1500 because those comparisons make no sense.

Did you expect more neighbor? I knew 15mpg or less would be average.

I saw 23 mpg on the display on a 400 mile trip driving 70-78. I think we had a bit of a tailwind helping out too. I didn't hand calculate it so I'm not sure how far off the computer is from the actual mileage. Around town short trips we average 16ish.

The window sticker displayed 15 city and 20 highway with an average of 17. I knew what I was getting into before I paid for it. Complaining about it after purchasing and reading does not make sense to me. Now asking Lexus to make something better for the future or offer a diesel, that seems productive.

Highway roughly 21, local about 15, does what Lexus claimed in the sticker.
