I just read on the Camry forum that Toyota has made a change to the rules regarding purchases of guarantees. Previously, Toyota had allowed out of state customers to buy guarantees from dealers like Jerry Johnson at Midwest Toyota in Kansas over the phone, but now only in person or via phone from the same state you purchased the vehicle. This is in response to complaints from dealers over the low prices from Midwest. I saved a lot buying my extended guarantee in December from Jerry, but this does not look like an option going forward. If anyone has heard differently please comment.
