Default What are your future SUV plans given the GX will be gone in 2017?

Well, with the rumored 7 seat crossover replacement for the GX coming around 2017 (since that is the 7 year cycle), I'm wondering what everyone is planning to do?

I typically plan vehicle purchases way ahead of time (several) years. If it does become a crossover, my Toyota/Lexus days may be over since I've had 4runners/GX's as my SUV for over a decade.

We'll see what happens, but I have a gut feeling that if they do a crossover replacement, you'll see a bunch of us here bail and go for something else. LX is too big in my books.

Just wondering as I still know it is far away, but I'm a planner...

Would like to see Toyota build a luxury Tundra with Diesel. I would seriously buy one.

Me too, Rockydog but the Tundra will not fit in my garage! I looked into the 1794 edition which is special this year and it was just way too long!

Is there any reason this GX can't go forever?

Well I will buy a brand new GX in 2016 and that should last me for a bit haha. I think that there may be some more compelling things out by then though. Diesel Tundra would do it for me too.

I probably don't need such a hardcore SUV in the future (in fact, I'm planning on trading my current GX), so I would get a crossover, or a wagon with added ride height like a Volvo XC70.

Will still do some mods and enjoy my GX for now. Then might go back to owning a truck.

Why worry over a vehicle? I will be worrying over my family, health, work, and 401K!

Planning and worrying are 2 different things in my opinion.

With this troll, you seem to be missing the purpose of participating on a vehicle enthusiast web forum.

I'm thinking Range Rover or Mercedes M class. I don't want a crossover that looks like a station wagon.
