Likewise. I am not looking forward to a future with less and less body-on-frame, stout SUVs, like the GX460s, Land Cruisers, LX 570s, Sequoias, Tundras, 4Runners, FJs, and Tacomas. Long live the body-on-frame.

I have the first gen GX (470) and was planning to get the 2nd gen GX (460). Went and test drove the redesigned Highlander, to our surprise the extra trunk space with the 3rd row seating up made our decision so we're waiting on a 2015 Highlander.

I drive the GX everyday now to work so I can keep the mileage on my GS low. Starting to miss the old girl already.

Agree, wouldn't want a cross over that drives anything like the Rx.

I'm not dead yet...

I am on my third Land Cruiser...1991/1994 and current 2004 that has 167K miles and counting. Would like to lower the $$$$$$$ for new and the GX460 is kind of like a 3/4 Land Cruiser. I will either suck it up and buy a new Land Cruiser or keep my eye on GX460 plans and buy one before they shift to unibody.

Right now trying to decide between ES350/GS350 and 2015/2016 model.

The Gx model will change next generation on 2017 or 2018?

If the GX is going away I'm glad I recently purchased a 2015. But honestly hope it's not being discontinued.

Default Check out the UX concept. Final days of GX ahead?

i think it looks rather mean and aggressive. Just what lexus needs to compete with audi and RR...

i guess it gives us an idea where lexus is going...

Pass big time.

The appeal of the GX460 is that it is the anti crossover. I bought ours for my wife because she still wants to sit up high and she despised the look of the RX when we walked by one at the dealer. For us, the only other contenders were a Tahoe or Denali.

The UX is suppose to slot in beneath the NX, so I wouldnt worry the UX being the GX replacement.I would also not care too much about the design language coming into the GX, as the GX is a big heavy vehicle, I would expect a toned down version of the LX face on the GX. Big SUVS with massive intakes is something left to the aftermarket tuners

Yeah, it's a concept car and I don't really see it happening anytime soon. Anything below the NX should be a no go for Lexus.
