Bought a base stripped GX white last wknd. I was looking at 2014 4runner Trail but I found this. For less than $10k more to get in a V8 with LED and Lexus fit and finish.
Got $2k off sticker of $50K. It does not have NAV.

Keyes lexus in van nuys. Jeff palayan in the internet dept. no dealer around me had a base white gx. They have only $55k models. I would have to special order a stripped gx.
Lexus is advertising $499 lease on the $50k base right now and some dealers don't even know about the deal or they know and act like they don't know. Whenever, there is a promo, lexus is chipping in some money.

Looks like this thread is dated but I desperately need your view on the deal that I am about to jump on:
Monthly Payment: $650
GX460 Premium, $56,974
0 Down
27 months at 10K/year
REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT of about $5K (is it safe???)
Please please let me know if this is a good deal. Need to say yes or no to Prestige Lexus in Ramsey NJ tomorrow...

Need a few more figures:
1) What is the MSRP, and or all the options on the sticker ($56974 does not mean much alone, is this the purchase price or the MSRP?)?
2) Money Factor quoted for your lease and credit score.?
3) Are taxes included in the $56974? If not what is your tax rate?
4) What residual are they quoting?
5) Why is the security deposit so high? Makes no sense unless they are discounting the money factor because of it. I have never seen Lexus do this. Only BMW.

Thanks so much for the quick reply, Randy!
Sticker is $56974, don`t know yet the purchase price. Will call them in an hour when they open and get all the numbers.
Money factor they originally quoted was 3.84% rate or 0.0016 and residual of 68%. Tax rate is 7% and I will prepay all taxes and fees.
They originally wanted $796 per month for it and said that this is a good deal, part of "December to Remember" event but inventory is very low and GXs are sold out everywhere. I shopped around and brought a quote from a shady broker I found on LeaseTrader.com who offered $650 for the car that does not even seem to exist (Lexus dealer checked VIN and said the actual car was sold in October)... Not eve sure what the trick is here... We sat with dealer for an hour, leaving and coming back multiple times trying to negotiate, he finally agreed that he will give me the car at $650 but only if I pay 9 times monthly payment as a refundable security deposit (he explained that most of the benefit of this for them is offsetting the risk, not so much offsetting the interest).
