I have read another thread in this forum that speculated a March 2013, rollout of the 2014 GX with the possibility of the "Spindle Treatment." The post was several months ago so I was curious if anyone has any new "intel" on either? If the 2014 is coming out in a few months, I should consider holding off my purchase until then.

I don't see a 2014 coming out in March (you may see it). History dictates October. I would wait to see the updates before buying. If you don't like it you could get a better price on a leftover, if you can wait!

I'm doing the same thing. I really hope it's out earlier than expected and with the spindle grill...that's the main thing I'm waiting for. I love the look of the new LX, but $90k is a little out of my budget. There really is no other car on the market that has exactly what I want in the GX, so I really hope it gets some updates and soon.

I'm also hoping for a compelling change in 2014, but expecting none. We're driving an early-production (November 2009) GX 460 we purchased in February 2010. So, we are out of warranty in March 2014 (48 months) and we would usually trade for a new vehicle before that happens ... usually!

I doubt there will be enough in 2014 to justify a trade. A styling change like the spindle grill won't do it, a split lift-and-drop rear gate might and certainly an upgraded power train, but what are the odds of that? We're resigned to modest or no upgrades for 2014 and will have to decide what to do by March of that year, which is likely to keep driving our GX.

My wife and I have been paying attention when we see an LX 570 ... and we've seen many of them on our ongoing road trip!

Unlikely you'll see anything significant until ~2016. The GX is on a 7 year product life cycle. GX470 was launched In the 2003 model year and GX460 in the 2010 model year.
