LT Tires on GX460
Is anyone running LT tires on their GX? If so, which brand and size?
I'm starting to get ready for a cross country trip for early next year (will be towing a travel trailer). I plan on replacing my tires with the Michelin LTX M/S2 (275/65/18 - E rated LTs). I also plan on upgrading the brake pads and rotors.
The trailer I'm towing has somewhat weak brakes and depends on the tow vehicle's brakes to help more then the average trailer. I will be traveling through mountainous areas and need/want to upgrade the brakes. Has anyone upgraded their brakes? Again, if so, any recommendations would be appreciated!

Obviously I haven't done anything to my new GX but I have used R1 concepts for brake pads and rotors on my Tahoe for years and thought very highly of them. Call them, they are very helpful and will ask you under what conditions you will be driving and recommend the proper brakes for your application.

Just picked up some LTX M/S2's. Seems quieter than the Brdgestones (POS tire IMO), rides a bit firmer, handles better and tracks straighter on the highway. My guess a lot of that is due to the stiffer sidewall on the LTXs. GX feels flatter in turns.
Front range got a bunch of rain today and I can definitely say the tires do MUCH better in the rain than the Bridgestones.
One other thing, the new tires are 2lbs lighter than the Bridgestones. May result in a slight improvement with acceleration and gas mileage. Time will tell.
