Another question from a technophobic: Does the BT pairing, for both the phone and the music streaming, work at the same time (e.g. while I'm streaming music via BT, and the phone rings)?

While watching the videos about how to pair it, I saw one on an RX where he was playing music via bluetooth and a call came in and the music went off just like when a call comes in on the radio so I assume it works that way on ours as well.

Anyone knows if the stealer can enable it?
Any other things that I may not have on that screen?

I think this option is only available on the Mark Levinson system.

negative. I don't have ML and it worked for me. I'm at a loss for why there's no option in the pp though. . .

I had some issues with bt audio. When I mentioned it to my service tech- he said there was a bulletin out and replaced my ecu. I don't have anymore issues w/ bt audio.

Wow, strange that it is missing the soft buttons that mine has. I haven't seen that before. Let us know what the dealer says.

I got an appointment with the dealer next week to look over this issue.
I would like to get him to look over the other button as well.
Would someone please post a picture of what options under the button "others".

Also, for my reference I would like to see the g"General" button options.

$170 for updating the GX navigation map crazy. Hopefully the dealership will be nice enough and do it for free, this one time.

I just saw on the Sewell website that they have the Navigation update for the 2010 GX on a USB. However, the installations that they provide I believe, are for removing a DVD. Does anybody know how to update the map with the USB? I have the feeling that it is by inserting the USB in the port and somehow navigating to the installer using the tabs on the display? I want to order it but I am not sure if this is something that we can do ourselves or have to be brought to the dealer. Thanks for your input.

You'd need to take USB to the dealer to let them install it. It is not possible to do upgrade yourself.

You might want to wait a while as the new update,version 12.1, should be out in late-October/early-November.

We received the same advice when we scheduled our annual oil and filter change. The next version should be released by November, which is when we have scheduled our service. Much like any software update, it's not about the 'gadget' that is used to convey the update, but rather it is about the content, which remains firmly under the control of the manufacturer. Contact your dealer in November.

the navigation in the lexus is sub par imho....i cant tell you how many times addresses dont exist on the system..homes around for 10-20 years, absolutely ridiculous

i frequently have to use google maps which is much more accurate.

why the ....cant lexus just put google maps in our gx...another bright move by the techies at lexus...

frankly, i would think twice before wasting your money on any update, it will never be as good as google...
