Outside temperature display for 2011 460?
My '04 gx470 had the outside temp displayed at the top of the center stack.
My New '11 GX460 does not display the outside temp -( except by going into climate control and looking at the display screen) but the 2012's do. I asked if there was a firmware update to allow the 2011' s to upgrade to the 2012 capabilities and was told that there was not. Is there a way to get the outside temp to display in the dash display ( between tach and speedo) ? It is nice to know if
the outside temp is below freezing so one can be alert for black ice.

I'm sure it can be done, because it exists on the center display in the 2012. The question is, is Lexus willing to retrofit, what has to be replaced and how much would it cost. The juice may not be worth the squeeze....

So the answers to the three-part last sentence are: "No," "A lot," and "More than an owner would be willing to pay."
