Lexus Loyalty Incentive
I'm looking to buy a new Lexus GX 460, and have a question about the $1,000 current Lexus owner loyalty incentive. The dealer that I've been talking to is going to give me employee pricing. Is the loyalty incentive available on top of that or is it just $1,000 that you automatically get off the sticker price without having to haggle over it. I just want to make sure the dealer isn't selling it to me at employee pricing and then going to keep the loyalty rebate from Lexus.
Any insight on this would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Can you tell us a bit more about this "current Lexus owner loyalty incentive"? I am aware of their annual "December to Remember" program since it is heavily advertised, but I am unaware of the program to which you refer.
It sounds like you are suspicious of your dealer, but I doubt that concern is warranted. It seems unlikely that Lexus would allow their dealers to 'game' the system to keep the loyalty incentive rather than have it go to their customers. More to the point, the incentive is from the corporation rather than the dealership ... presumably, you would receive the loyalty rebate directly from Lexus ... and only after the sale is completed and you have paid for your new vehicle.
What you may find is that the dealer can offer you a better deal without the corporate incentive. If you have been reading our forum you have heard of members that traded a 2010 GX for a 2011 or traded a different Lexus for a GX or traded for an identical Lexus at little to no cost ... myself included. Your local Lexus dealer is highly motivated to keep you as a happy customer and prevent your defection ... even if to a competing Lexus dealer ... a corporate program makes little difference to your dealer and probably shouldn't to you.

P.S. I'm betting that the discount to get a new GX 460 at "employee pricing" is more than $1,000 ... which is less than 2% of the price of a GX 460. Employee discount is something like dealer's cost plus 3% ... compare that to the list price of the vehicle you are considering.

My regular dealer didn't want my 2009 BMW X5 as a trade in. I've purchased 5 other new Lexus vehicles from them. I ended up trading at another Lexus dealership that also owns a BMW dealership next door. My regular dealer was a little surprised when I showed up with my new GX, but what did they expect me to do? It's all about money, not loyalty with these dealerships. I've never heard of a Lexus owner loyalty program. This is my 6 new Lexus. I don't trust any dealer, they are there to take as much money out of your pocket as possible...

I got the $1000 loyalty incentive on Thursday when I have traded my 2010 GX for 2011 to bridge the price difference between two closer
The only requirement is that you have to be a Lexus owner and finance the new Lexus through Lexus and total needs to be at least $5k. My 2010 was paid for, so I have financed $5000.01 and will get a check for a difference next week.
