If you are getting the ML (optional sound system) nav combo you can watch DVDs, while parked (with emerg brake engaged).

I've test-driven a fully-loaded version (equivalent to Premium in the US), and I own a Canadian Premium GX (base GX in US), and I find no difference in terms of interior noise. The fully-loaded one had semi-aniline seats so the leather was softer, but other than that the two felt exactly the same.

We bought a GX Premium last month at $1000 over invoice. Fully loaded with DVD system. Only difference with Premium is the chrome trim on the rear side back window. Trim piece extends all the way up on the Premium. Also you get the semi aniline leather and the adjustable rear air suspension on the Premium. The features such as HID, semi aniline leather, etc on the Premium can also be added a la carte to the base model. The Premium just packs in more features as standard. Really depends on what you want. If you want all the perks, the Premium will be a better start since adding on the features on the base model will get you the same price. I believe the only feature you cannot add on to the base is the adjustable rear suspension.
