Is the tip supposed to just slide on? I have been unable to get the tip I ordered from Sewell Lexus to go on completely. Is there an easier way to get it on? Clueless....

I just found out our shinny new GX doesn't have the exhaust tip. What is up with that Lexus?

will this exhaust tip work on 2013 GX? Is it easty to install, any particular tools needed? Any other choice to consider other than the OEM?

The Chrome tip is supposed to come on the Premimum, Base doesn't get it. I put a Corsa Stainless tip on mine.

Can you provide a link of the one you installed?

I don't have the link at the moment, I used the same one another member here used, I think it was Koz. There is a thread around here about it.

Hi Koz, can you provide me the link? Also, does it require special tool to put on the exhaust tip? Thanks!

Amazon Amazon

This tip needs a little massaging to get on. I had to cut off a couple inches of the stock tip (end) and cut three slots (evenly spaced out) in the edge of the stock tip (about 2" long with a hack saw). This allowed the new tip to be tapped on with a rubber mallet and will go on far enough to stick out just past the bumper (as in pic). I also used never-seize on the end of the stock tip before tapping the new one on. This will allow it to go on easier and will allow it to be removed later if needed. Just make sure the tip is straight before tapping on.

This tip is HIGH quality and looks as good as the day I put it on!

Thanks Koz.

Is it easy to put on by myself? Does the installation instruction come with the product? Do I need special tool for it? Sorry too many questions. I am not a DIY person.

I had to do about the same as KOZ did but I didn't cut any off of the OEM tailpipe and I cut 4 slits on the tip all the way up to where it got wider and I used some grease inside the tip and helped it on with a rubber mallet. As KOZ said, make sure it's straight because I know mine will probably never come off unless I cut it off.

There are no instructions to fit the tip on the GX. You will need a hack-saw and a rubber mallet. It is worth the trouble of installation because of the quality and look of this tip (better then the optional OEM tip).

Note - The optional OEM tip is also a high quality tip (and will slip right on) but does not look as good and has a smaller end diameter (2.5" vs 3').
