Is there any source, other than the dealer, for better pricing?
I'm interested everything related to the GX 460. I have the standard and would like to beef up to premium, and then some.

There are not many upgrades available, but some recommended are
side door moldings which you can buy there. Check DIY sticky. There are many upgrades that were done by me and other memebers.

I don't think you will find a factory you can buy as it is part of the computer and instrument cluster. I think you may have to go with non-OEM.

I don't have the premium trim and would like to have the parking assist feature. any other options besides the dealer? I do have the parking dingle berry thingies. is this mean I have the parking sensors and just have to have them activated?

Edit:I just called the dealer and they said I have to go 'after market'

We don't have the premium trim either, but we do have parking assist. Any chance that it is simply turned off? You can do that at the information display screen between the tach and speedo using the selector and menu button on the steering wheel.

When parking assist is turned on, the icon on the speedo is illuminated. Here's Page 322 from the owners manual that explains how to turn on parking assist.

Yes, it's possible it wasn't turned on at the dealer. I had that happen with my vehicle and I turned it on just like Sani Del...

Did you purchase your GX new?

This option shows up as a separate line on the sticker.

Your dealer should have reviewed this feature with you.

You are welcome, but there's no need to apologize about not reading the manual ... I haven't either ... at over a thousand pages of printed material in our glove boxes it isn't a good use of anyone's time! Consider it a reference, but use Lexus Drivers to search for key words. I'm still learning and this forum is an excellent place to learn.

If you have a back-up camera you don't need the park assist. Do NOT get it installed aftermarket, it will look bad and not work like the OEM. I've seen a couple and the owners were VERY disappointed. I personally feel it is a waste of money (backup camera works much better) and if I had the choice on my new GX I would not even get it. Unfortunately it is required with any of the optional packages or options.

to clarify, I do have it built in. It was turned off from the factory and now it's on I think parking assist is a great feature. It really helps when I'm in a tight indoor spots.
