Default Stability control update

I just got my Software update done yesterday. I am noticing that the vehicle seems much tighter and also turning the wheel takes a little more effort.

Is it all in my head? Im using "sport mode"

I actually like it much better!

My car's handling is exactly the same after the VSC update; however, Lexus has just issued a recall regarding the VGRS steering in some LS models. The GX has the same steering system as well, so we could be affected if the faulty software was also used in the SUV.

I notice something after the update, it happen frequently when roll out of a parking lot exit, the car seems loose all its power for few seconds, like a huge turbo lag with wrong gear, no VSC light or other warning appear. I believe it happens during the second gear in slow rolling speed.

I believe the recall on the LS is not a software problem.

The problem with the steering is that the Steering Wheel does not return to center after a very sharp or U-turn.

You're correct. Lexus also stopped selling the LS until they come up with a fix. I'm taking my GX in next week for the software update and to have my chrome wheels installed. That is if the wheels make it to the dealer in time. If not, I will have my factory chrome wheels soon...

Yeah, when I typed that up Lexus didn't know what the problem was, as I got the info on some Japanese bulletin board. I heard on TV a few days ago that a part - which is mechanical - needs to be replaced in the steering system, so it's a design problem this time, not a software-related one.

I stepped on the brakes a bit hard for an unanticipated stop in about 20mph traffic and the stability control kicked in, which I didn't expect, but other than that I've not noticed any difference from before the fix.

I don't think there is such a thing as Factory Chrome Wheels.
The reason I say that, is that you never see the spare wheel chromed.
Nor will you have the Lexus Main Office back you up on a complaint about your wheels when the chrome starts peeling off. They promptly tell you that the chrome wheels are not covered under the warranty.

Right, I meant to say, I'm having the stock wheels chromed. They're not coming from the factory, they're coming from US wheel Exchange.
