Luke, thanks for the pointers. I installed the DRL's and I really like them.
Congrats! Post some pictures. I have not seen Philips in action yet.

Default Mirror Mounted Radar Detector??

Has any purchased one of the: BlendMount 2000 Series Mount for Valentine One radar detector, BV1-2000A that is advertised on this site. $89.95

I'm just a little concernerd about the additional weight on the mirror mount. I'm sure the cost of replacing the mirror if anything happend would be outragous.

Thanks

I have considered buying that one. Weight shouldn't be an issue. I decided not to but it as the radar is asking to be stolen, cops can see it easily and of course people seating on your a$$ as they see that you have one. I have mounted my V1 to the right of mirror at the top of the glass. To cover suction caps I have put a small strip of darkest tint behind it. You have to look very closely from outside to see I have something there. Of course I am using the conceled display as well.

I love the running board mod, what is the bulb number and where can I get it? I really want to make the bottom lights much brighter, is this mod just an even swap of bulbs?

It is a simple bulb swap to LED. Board, doors and vanity lights all use the same bulb called 194.
For board buy this
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/C...85865-1-2.html
You will need two sets

For doors and inside vanity
http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/G...04828-1-2.html
You will need 6 sets. Those are a little longer and will not fit in board ligting.

For parking lights, I use those
http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/D...64848-1-2.html

For turn signals. You will need to buy load resistors as well to convert to LED turn signals
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/P...34404-1-2.html

Backup lights
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/P...26829-1-2.html

Use coupon code VISION for additional 15% off on top of current sale. The code should be good until end of the month.

I am afraid about breaking the cover on the dome and door lights. What's the best way to remove the covers without breaking and/or scratching the surroundings? Can you post pictures of how to remove the dome lights? I would really appreciate it!

Use a small flat screwdriver to pop it out inside lights. Look at post 5, 10 & 29 for pictures.

I got the interior bulbs today and installed them, however the the door bulbs were bigger than the original so I couldn't put back a clear cover that was there before. Should I order a smaller bulb for the doors or just leave it without the plastic cover? It is the same bulb however the LED is longer and it won't let me install that other clear plastic housing.

I completely forgot about the length of bulbs in doors when providing suggestions above. Sorry about that. You should be able to install them without the interrior small covers. If you want to keep the covers, I would exchange them for the same type but shorter which I recommended for exterior door steps.

It's ok, I'll order the smaller ones and keep the others as extras in case I need more. Which bulb goes in the doors, the same one that I used for the running boards? Before I forget, thank you for the mod, the lights look really nice and I love the white color, it's much brighter! Now, I'll do my wife's ES350 and my daughter's Maxima.

Yes, the same bulbs you used for the running boards will work in the doors and allow you to put the clear plastic cover back on.

Thanks, how long do the LED bulbs normally last? Are there any options for the DRL's in LED?

Since the DRL's are also the high beams, LED's are not recommended.

You may want to check this thread.

V-LED's has high quality bulbs. I would expect them to last for years. I've not had any problems thus far.
