Actually that is a toyota Landcruiser Prado it is used in most of asia, and over in asia they come 2.4L and 4.0L they are cheaper and more easier to mass produce in most under developed country's.

That is the 2010 Prado; the new GX should have some resemblance to it. Don't have to wait long though, it's just another month before we're going to see something since it will be available in China first. Hopefully some members here who live in China can kindly post some pics once it's available!!

I do like the 3rd row fold down seats that completely tuck away when not in use, vs the side folding versions we all have today.

See post #32. That interior blows. WTF?! (Sorry, I'm not nearly as reserved as in my last post).

I like the old version better. New cars seem to be heading towards chunkyness... high belt lines, low windows. I just don't like it.

Im hoping that the spare tire is mounted in the rear like the white one pictured above, and as for the interior it doesn't look that great at all I hope that doesn't make it over hear

I spend most of my time in Vietnam and I first started to see this car in november of 2008. My cousin has this car I'll snap some pictures tomorrow. Over here Its a Landcrusier prado it cost alittle over 80K in vietnam. I have a GX470 that I bought used for 120K USD. Taxes for vehicles over here are over 150%. So 80K for a Prado is considered cheap in vietnam.

Huh? The beltline and windows look to be about the same as the old model.

I also can't quite understand the interior complaints. The interior looks like a definite improvement over the old (current) Prado interior.

Also to all GX fans and owners; the GX interior will NOT look like this interior. Expect a much more luxurious interior.

.
Are you looking at the same pictures that I am? Please tell me that rear window is the same size on the newer version. Just look how high the hood is next to the "current" model. I'm afraid I won't be able to see anything out of this truck.

The pictures are not taken at a proper angle for a fully accurate comparison, keep that in mind. The hood looks only slightly higher. Carefully studying the pics, the window line and belt line looks almost identical.

The seating position seems like it might be a bit higher in the new model compared to the current one.

Default Is this a current modelt of 4Runner ???

Does it me or does this new design looks like a current 4Runner model?
- I was waiting on a new model to get the HUD (currently in new RX), new rear door, power 3rd row seats (flat folding)... Should I pay $50k or more for the new model that looks like a current Toyota 4Runner?

Am I missing something? Please, tell me I am!

Truthfully after seeing the above pics, it doesn't not look like a drastic change from the current design, which is not a bad thing in my book and it's not enough of a design improvement that it makes me want to run out and purchase a new one. I DO NOT like the front end, more specifically the grill of the Prado, so hopefully Toy/Lexus has something else in store for the GX.

Honestly I don't think the new GX will look anything like this one.
