I had a slight problem last weekend while waiting for on-coming traffic to clear so I could turn. A guy in a 93 Dodge Shadow didn't see me and smack the back end going about 35 mph. All things considered, I'm glad I has in the GX and not my Bonneville. I'm sure I would have been seriously hurt, instead of only having a sore shoulder and neck. The guys at Lexus are working on fixing it back to new, for $6100. And my insurance company is working on the other guy, since he didn't have insurance. The tow truck driver was impressed with the Lexus after he saw the other car. If it hadn't been for some of the plastic bumper facia hanging, I could have driven it home. This is one tough truck.

Glad you're okay! Sorry to hear about your baby, but looks like she did what she was designed to do

Hey, at least you got what you paid for in Lexus. I know how you feel. That is the same thing that happened with my RX300. Some lady that wasn't paying attention wasn't ready for a sudden stop. Rear ended my RX. Her nissan altima was totaled and my rx only had cosmetic damages, nothing on the frame or the body. Well, the floor of the spare tire got pushed in and got a few scratches on the grill and the paint around the grill of my Rx because my rx got pushed into a van, also the bumpers and the muffler system. It saved my mom from any injuries. But now the rx is wrecked up . But once your gx has been fixed, it will look as if nothing had happened. Just force the insurance or the body shop or whoever takes care of it to give you "NEW" parts not reconditioned ones. You'll have a little bit of a hard time forcing them to give you "NEW" parts but it is well worth it.

Lexus definitely gets an A+ for the safety, I was rear ended by a lady going between 30-35. Over $10,000 of damage on my IS and her Volvo was totaled. I didn't even have a scratch on me.
