Default 2004 GX470 Questions

My father just picked up a 2004 Dorado Gold GX470. I think we've got most of the tricks figured out, but how many of you use the voice control? Is it actually a practical system to use?

Are there any other little tricks about the car that I may not have noticed yet?

P.S.

I forgot to ask the dealer . . . .

Are the headlights HIDs, I haven't driven it at night yet so can't tell?

Also, when I was toying with it in the garage, I noticed that when the light are on, the green light comes on on the dash. Is there any way to get rid of this?

Default Green Headlight Indicator

The green headlight indicator is a feature on the instrument display that tells you when the headlights are on and does not go off until the lights go off. It becomes a light you do not even notice after driving the car for a while. It is a feature Lexus has included on a number of models.

hey denver_is300, does ur gx have a thug sound or vibration? also, ur gx has a one touch start feature. when u start ur gx, let go of the key right away and it will keep turning on without u waiting for it to turn on.

Denver,

Does your 04 have the backup camera? The dealer I'm working with said they will have my GX470 with the NAV/ML/3rd ROW/RES in about 10 days. But, from the Lexus site they won't have any GX470 equipped with the backup camera. Would you mind telling my how much you paid and what options you have with your GX470.

Thanks
Maddy

Paid $49K and change after taxes and everything

P.S. - The camera is not available until 2004 1/2, I don't think it's worth the wait though. And no I have not found any rattle / vibration at all.
