According to Car and Driver the GX470 is faster than the following lexus' in 0-60 and 1/4 mile. Woo hoo!

GS 300
ES 300
LX 470
RX 330

Who knew we had the hot rod of trucks!? GX's are NOT faster than the GS430, LS430, IS300or SC430 - but why would they be.... I'm just happy we're faster than some!

i should go on a test drive
i took the toureg to 120.. this is in college station (college town) the guy was pretty cool comming up the hill i decided to slow it down.. sure enough stop'd truck in the middle of a road .. mind you this was a rural road.. but it was pretty fast.. then took it up pretty good on the highway also
i want to try the gx.. and i want to take it in the mud with a salesman also.. the guy nearly shat his pants when we did it in an lx .. it was me and my dad. i told him what we were gonna do he was like ok thats fine ( mind you i did this in my gx so i wanted to see how the lx would fare).. this was where a rail road track used to be inbetween the freeway and the feder.. ne one in tx knows how the feder is parallel to hte freeway.. so on the feder i just go in the grass.. me and my dad look back and this guys holding on for the love of his life.. this wasnt bad at all just a regular vehicle test.. got a bunch of mud on it.. and took it back.. it was great...

now compared to the gx.. imo the gx was funer but i know the gx "bottomed" out with the suspension where as the lx was fine.. both had slight vehicle skid in teh mud which is acceptable i guess i felt more comfrortable driveing the gx becuase it was mine..

I've had my GX up to 110 on the interstate messing around with a dude in a Monte Carlos. Held the road pretty good "for a truck". I would imagine the speed limiter would be cutting in around that speed, but am not sure.

Well I certainly hope that the GX is faster than the LX since the LX weighs over a THOUSAND POUNDS more than a GX! Why don't you pick on someone your own size?

P.S. I'll be happy to drag race your "puny" GX with my LX 470 - provided you agree to strap a baby grand piano to your roof rack first

Sorry man, you are completely nuts to drive a GX at 110. It's plain old not safe at that speed. Ever seen a SUV flip?

It is not safe to drive your gx at 110mph. One little mistake or accident turn of the steering wheel will send your gx doing flips and that wouldn't make you happy to see your gx wrecked or even know that you might die from it!!!!!
