Is this a good price for the GX470 New?
I have the opportunity to purchase a new '03 with the following: Navigation System/Mark Levinson Audio, third row seat, towing package, cargo net, cargo mat, wheel lock, rear wind deflector.
Price is $46,222. Same setup but with RES is $47,930.
Good price or is this the average these days (or higher)?
Thanks!

Seems like a better price than I was quoted. I was quoted $51K for NAV/ML, third row, cargo mat, RES, wheel lock, rear wind deflector, tow hitch from a dealership in MA. Can I ask what dealership that was?

I paid $46,500 for my Blizzard White '03 with the following: Navigation System/Mark Levinson Audio, third row seat, towing package, cargo net, cargo mat and wheel lock. No rear wind deflector...I actually like it better without. The dealer was New Country Lexus in Latham, New York. They provided wonderful service. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my LUV.
As far as the whole vibration thing, can anyone tell me if that occurs in all or just some....and does it occur right from the onset or does it begin with time.....I am wondering because thanfully I am not having that problem......Thanks!

The vibration takes a little while to notice.
Hold the steering when on the wood top area and put the vehicle at 1700 rpm on a flat road.
Take it steady between 1700 rpm and greater (up to 2100rpm) and if you have the problem you'll start to feel it through the wood.
It's more apparent if you hold the wood part of the wheel.
Go up and down through that RPM range and it becomes very evident. Again I say "If you have it" on your particular vehicle.
If you have it and I believe it's around 60% of the vehicles you'll very soon get fed up with it. Try a 1500 mile business trip!
Forget messing about with the tyres etc. It's a problem they have yet to find an answer for.
The buy backs have included this problem!

Did you have to haggle with the salesman for that price? That is a sweet price for the New York Area. I live in Long Island, I may have to call your dealer. If you could let me know if you haggle with them it would be very helpful.
Thanks

Hey Mad! No no haggling....well, not really. We dealt with a salesman called Nick...very nice young kid. We went in three times...the first two to test drive the RX330, which was not doing it for me. All the while I was looking at the RX330, my husband was oogling over the GX470. Nick asked me if I wanted to test drive it....and I said why not? As we test drove it. my husband was asking him how much. It was a fully loaded demo with about 1000 miles on it. The sticker was over $53....My husband asked if they would take $46 and the salesman said they probably wouldn't. We left to go test drive the Volvo SUV. The next day we decided the GX470 was the one. We liked a brand new blizzard white one on the showroom floor with a sticker of $51,000. My husband called Nick up and said this is the deal...it is between the Volvo which has a sticker of $46 and the GX470, we will give you $46,000 for the GX470 and come sign today. Nick told us he would call us back and when he did he counter-offered with $46,500....we jumped on it. Of course, had my husband kept going, we probably could have gotten them down to $46 but we were too excited.
So to answer your question, I think they are looking to get rid of the 03s so we didn't have to haggle too much. And, the salesperson, Nick never tried to sell us a thing each of the times we went in there which was very refreshing. We had a great experience with New Country. Love the car. Hope this helps. Corinne
