Test driving gx this weekend and need advise please!
Hello all, new guy here . I am test driving a 05 gx470 this weekend and need any advise before purchase. It has 125k and rides and drives great so far. I. Heard some odd noises a couple times when moving the ride level, that normal to hear a clunk/ thud noise? 16,900 asking price ? I had it on the lift and everything looked great underneath. Everything works except the drivers windows switch won't work rear windows .

You shouldn't hear any clunking with changing height. You should hear the compressor and see the rear go up or down, maybe an inch or so each way. Any service history? You'll want to see plugs changed and timing belt/WP already done at this mileage.

Thanks for the replys! One big concern is the a/c compressor seems noisy. It whines on and off as it idles. Thought it was whining when cycling but I looked and the clutch is engaged all the time .anyone else had this problem? Wonder if it's starting to fail? Yes the timing belt has been done at 96k according to sticker under hood. Guess I need to pull back a t belt cover to double check. Thump when activating ride height is heard when parked. I initialized the windows but the left rear does nothing from the drivers switch. Works normal with left rear switch. Well we will drive it some more today. Any replays is appreciated!

maybe window was not reset when battery was last disconnected. Go to that door and put widow all the way down and back up and hold 2 seconds then try master switch from driver seat.
