I am planning to replace timing belt and water pump on my GX470 2007 with 97,000 miles on it. Any suggestions / recommendation what else should be done?

How do you flush a sealed transmission that does not require servicing ...

just had my trans flushed at 150k, they tap into the transmission cooling lines i b elieve and you pay for about 16 qts of the 12 qts that are needed.

Many people are skeptical over "permanently sealed" systems. There have been owners that drained some fluid and reported that it smelled bad. And as our vehicles get into higher mileages, with the loss of warranty coverage, some people are opting for fluid changes. Either a complete change by tapping into the transmission cooler line, or by dropping the pan and getting about a 30-40% change.

I opted for the pan method when I had some service done around 127k miles. And will probably get it done again somewhere around 155k miles, giving me a progressive fluid change.

It'd have to be a really good indy mechanic -- the transmission is very sensitive to quantity and temperature of the Toyota WS (world standard) transmission fluid. You can't just throw some in there.
