maybe there is a rubber seal that can be replaced that will make it firmer? haven't looked at it yet, but I think my sunroof does the same thing.

I haven't figured it out and my Indi doesn't mess with sunroofs. The rattle is so bad that I'm thinking about just jamming something in there and not using the roof. Anyone Come up with a solution yet?

I haven't dug too deeply yet into mine but the brief look I had at things certainly didn't reveal any simple fixes. The rattle is caused by the brackets attached to the sunroof. They have slots in them that the roof moves in. The slots are required so the roof is able to tilt and slide. The issue is there is a tremndous amount of play in the slots. I don't know if some thick grease would help take up some of the slopiness or not? I'll be continuing to investigate this issue when I have some time available. It's the only rattle in my truck and drives me insane.

Same exact sunroof rattle here on my 56K mile 09 GX470. Only happens when shade is open and you can hear it. I have looked into it couple of times and frustrated after with giving up on it. But can't quit fully. Hopefully soon will look into it and update it here.

I tried adding some grease to my sunroof yesterday. It definitely made things better. You can still hear it move when you hit big bumps but it no longer vibrates and rattles like it used to. I've looked at this issue a few times and I don't think there is a solution?

I'll try that. What type of grease did you use? Did you apply it only to that plastic rail in the pic? What I do is just tap the button to ope the sunroof so that it puts just a little tension of it, that seems to help quite a bit. Thanks for looking into it RZ500. Btw are your spidertrax spacers 1.25 or 1.5? Now that I'm lifted I'm getting ready to slap some 285s on the OEM wheels.

I didn't use anything special for grease. I had a tube and just smeared it in with my finger on the plastic track. Best approach would be to use a grease gun though. (Less chance of getting grease on the headliner).

My wheel spacers are 1.25" I believe.
