Default Options to add Aux input to 06 w/ Nav

Guys,

I am sure this has been covered numerous times but I wasn't having the best of luck. I have an 06 with Nav, and an iPhone I want to play music through. What is the easiest way to do this while maintaining my factory NAV. I was looking at Vaistech, but to be honest I wasn't even sure which option to go with. I don't care about DVD override or anything like that, I just want to be able to play my music on my iPhone and Pandora through my phone.

Is this my best option? http://www.vaistech.com/site/sl3b.php

Any links or anything someone could provide? Thanks,

That's the exact product I plan on buying. It's perfect for what I want, Bluetooth audio from my iPhone. As an added bonus, page 9 of the installation guide gives instructions on how to bypass the "I Agree" nav screen.

I have sold a ton of different Bluetooth pieces and aux inputs. The absolute best one I have ever used is the Tranzit BLU. It does also have an aux input.

Do both the GoGroove and the Tranzit use an FM modulator?

the transit uses a wireless modulator. I have never been crazy about a wireless but this one seems to work much better than others I have sold. and even if you do need to change the station, you do it from an app on your smartphone that may take about 10 seconds. I have made a handful of trips from Chattanooga to Florida and only had to change the station once. even going through Atlanta. it just seems to keep an incoming, weaker station canceled out that would normally bleed through with other wireless modulators...if that makes any sense

it looks like for the transit one you would need to remove the headunit and install it on the antennal line coming in, which is probably why it has a better signal as its wired right to the antenna.
The gogroove looks like a traditional fm transmitter where you do not need to install anything.

or go the cheapy route and use a patch cord from the headphone jack on your phone to the rca jacks in the rear volume input console by the dvd player/center console. no bleed, and nothing to take apart unless you really want to hide the one wire going back there.

I tried using those, whatever you connect there only goes out over the headphones, can't seem to get it to come over the main stereo and the screen has to be flipped down, not the best solution so I gave up on it.

Vaistech really needs to update their website and make the selection process more straightforward. It's an absolute mess, very confusing.

My opinion is they should just make one product that does it all for each car application.
