Default New GX 470 Owner

Hello , I finally joined the GX 470 club this week. After admiring these for years and having many Toyotas including a 2000 Land Crusier that I still have (as well as some German and Swedish cars) all I can say is what took me so long.

I love it, hope to enjoy many years of driving.

Welcome David to CL. Hope you enjoy the forum talk on the First Gen and definitely we do have many GX members sharing lots of ideas on various mods, troubleshooting. Its is a great truck if you maintain it well. Good luck . Post some of your truck images.

Thanks for the welcome, here she is and her smooth rear door too. She is an 07 with Nav, ML Audio, 135k and RSES which will likely never be used. I'm planning on a complete window tint, a bull bar or something and better headlights, not that the stock lights are bad I live in a rural area and driving dark curvy roads at night I like to see everything in front of me. .

The GX Halogen Headlamps projectors are using a fresnel lens, no matter what you do to replace with the best brightest xenon bulbs on the planet, it is still a candle lite. Unless you mod a few things within, the headlamp setup, the difference will not be seen.

For the change you need to remove the entire setup of the GX Headlamps and replace the projector Lens and replace with TSX or ZKW-R or RX-AFS lens and set a Bi-Xenon Setup then you will know the difference. And it is truly a daylight. And these can be installed from professional retro fitters like Lightwerkz,The Retrofitz,to name a few
Finally if you have the time, patience and $$$$ and you will never regret back what you have done, believe me. I have done it and so are very very few members. I do not have my truck now as it has been sold. here is a sample of what could be
