Default rear suspension conversion

OK...I have 230K miles on my 03 GX and I just need to get 2-3 years more use out of it...had it since new and has been great. I am looking at the Strutmasters conversion kit. Wondering if people have had the dealer install this or an independent shop install it...I'd even go to a Toyota shop if that works.

Any advice let me know

try a toyota dealership, the 4 runner has springs so i am sure they would be willing to do the job, if not, an independent shop...it's not brain surgery, pretty easy job.

check out Metaltech's rear conversion kit as well, you can always pick up 4runner rear springs from a 4runner forum for people who lifted their rig, check with offroad shops on the conversion work.

There have been a few write ups recently that would help you. I did one a few weeks ago. Cost for doing it yourself is going to be between 500 and 1000 depending on what kit you go with.
