Default nice yoda...

I like those big wheels, are they stock?

Also, is there a separate frame that holds the rear wheel on, or does it attach to the door?

I think the GX 470 could handle larger off-road wheels and tires without lifts, but I question
whether you could fit a matching spare under the back. I wouldn't mind having the option
of putting the spare on the back door, but I'm not sure if the GX470 has all the same
structural supports to carry the weight.

This car the prado comes as well as the gx-470 with the spare below.
Those rims are Enkei RT6 18x8.5 285/60/18.

The Frame that holds the tire is attached to the door.

We also get the other version with the spare tire below.

*****in truck, love the look of those tires/rims Im guessing they are Yokohama AVS tires cause the tread looks similar, I think the 4Runner should have looked like that but the Surf is the 4Runner and the Prado is the GX, either way both are cool.

DO you think 265/50R20 will fit on these trucks

Those are not Yokos, they are Toyo's S/T, a much better tire than the yoko in every aspect. I'm in the wheels business for 11 years and I used to sell the yoko's, but there is no comparasion.

On the 265/50/20 subject, it will fit, I have done several with 295/45/20 and they look good, the reason I went 285/60/18 was because this car is driven by my wife so with that aspect ratio, I don't need to care for the wheels and also, the tire protects the side of the wheel big time, therefore they are a piece of mind.

Crazy, your ride just gets sweeter each day. Great job! I got a couple of parts coming in for the GX this week. I'll post when I get them...

Default wheels and tires

Nice Prado!

You mentioned that you have done several Prados with 295/45-20s. What size rim and backspacing did you use? Were there any clearance problems? Do you feel there is enough room to mount a 305/45-20? Lastly, do you have any pictures? Sorry for all the questions, but when I make the jump, I want to be certain that I will work the first time. Thanks for the info.

305/45/20 will fit very good, 295/45/20 will look to much of a gap.
I tried on mine 305/50/20 and it even worked but to tall for my taste.

20x9.0 ET12.

crazy4cars
what replacement tires would you suggest I put on my 4Runner, stock size 265/65-17 or even 265/70-17, Im looking for a good tire that won't wear off in 20k, had 2 Pathfinder that I replaced the OEM Bridgestones at 27k and from reading on the Toyota boards the Dunlops I got don't sound like they are good for anything more than 20k especially on a vehicle this heavy.

If it is a different size cool long as it don't rub or royally mess up my Nav, don't want it telling me left turn and the turn is a half mile away.

I have Yoko Geolandars AT+II on my Pathfinder and after 15k they have a slight bit of wear more due to me over inflating them was thinking of putting them on the 4Runner.

Later on Im gonna get 20's so I'll be askin you the same question later on.

Another thing is what if any Toyota/4Runner boards do you visit besides the GX470 cause you would be good for other 4Runner guys you could inform others

On http://www.yotatech.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=2 their are a few guys from Japan, Australia, that have Hilux Surfs the other 4Runner

If you want a good all around performance tire there is only one good choice.

Toyo Proxes S/T.
