Default shaking badly after replacing brake pads

This weekend I replaced brake pads on both axles. No big deal right, jacked the truck up, took the wheels off, removed the calipers and pressed the pistons back in, put in the new pads, replaced the caliper, put the wheels back on.

Ever since then I've been chasing a HUGE vibration. I loosened the front wheel lug nuts and shook the wheels back and forth thinking that they may have not been seated correctly. Then, re torqued the lug nuts. It got better, but is still shaking badly upon braking.

I will do the same with the rear wheels today (loosen, shake, re torque).

It's not brake warp, the discs were not warped before I replaced the pads.

What did I mess up?

Sounds like you may have a sticking caliper now. Did you machine the rotors or just pad slap it?

Are you past the brake-in point of the brake pads? I think you need to brake them in first for a week or 200 miles before doing any hard braking. If it doesn't happen during braking, then yeah, you might have a sticking caliper problem.

Pad swap only.

I did jack the vehicle up, loosen the lugs, wiggled everything around, re-tourqe. It's barely noticeable now, there is some vibration still, but very little.

Did you lubricate the guide rods?

Yes, as well as lubing the portion of the brake baking plate that contacts the channels the plates slide in.
