Default Trip to the Shop Today!

Hey everyone,
Just thought that I would share my expensive oil change today. I was going to the best shop in CO (in my opinion) to get a standard oil change. Then I left and got a call saying that my front brakes needed to be done ($310) so I said okay, go ahead. Then they called me and said that the Transmission O-Ring had to be replaced because it was a 8/10 leak. They also told me the radiator was leaking. All of this I knew about but it wasn't that severe 2-3 months ago. So I told them to go ahead and just do it all. I later got the bill of $2400 which was just great! Hahah looks like the rims and the lift will be postponed for a little.

It wasn't up selling! They showed me the crystals on the radiator and showed me where it was leaking from the O-ring.

Ok....at you were able to see for yourself.....

Radiator leak is common on the GX370

Transmission o-ring.....there is a TSB for that issue. One day no leak next day a leak....I talked to Service Mgr., they in turn called Corp and the bottom line is even though my ride was out of warranty...LEXUS CORP AUTHORIZED REPAIRS AND NOT A PENNY OUT OF MY POCKET!!!!

PM me if you need more info

Are they just replacing pads on the front brakes? They wanted to charge me $780 for front brakes and about the same for rear brakes.

For the trans, when you say o-ring,are you talking about the drain plug or over flow plug? How much did they charge for that?

Should cost half of what they are asking,

My vehicle has always been 100 percent serviced at the dealership.

At least I know it is done correctly and comes with warranty.

It's toycar care. We take all all of our Toyota/Lexus cars to them. They are amazing and priced fairly.

Sure. They do a really good job and they also show you the issue directly if you want to.
