Default Wireless Headphone Problem

My wireless headphones power off after 90 seconds of use, no matter what. Is there a fix for this?

According to my dealer they have issued a TSB on this. He told me this was more of a cold weather problem. He did the fix on mine, and it worked - for a few days - now its happening again. And it sure is cold (again). He didn't know why it was "cold-related".

Something so simple. I wonder who makes the ehadphones. Obvousily some type of malfunctioning power sleep function in the headphones.

Did your wireless headphones come standard or did you have to purchase them aftermarket?

Default Standard with RSES

Two pairs of wireless headphones come standard with the Rear Seat Entertainment System.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I didn't get a set. I'll have to ask my dealer.

Can't believe you didn't get the set of wireless headphones! We have watched one movie with them and no problem at all, they worked fine. Did you get the remote control? Also, back to the light bulb change deal...when you changed the bulbs on the low beam, did it make them brighter? The high beam seems fine, but switching back to low beam is not near bright enough. I was just wondering if putting in the new bulbs, like you did, helped any with brightness, especially the low beam. Thanks, any info. is appreciated.

Default Headphone question

Sorry, had one more question for you guys, is it possible to listen to the dvd movie without the headphones? A really small child would have trouble handling the headphones, I think. Does anyone know if it is possible to do that? Appreciate it!

It normally plays through the audio system. The headphones allow you to "isolate" the DVD and let driver, etc listen to radio or CD. But for example if you are watching the DVD on the front screen (in Park, with Parking Brake on, blah blah) then the only way to listen is through the audio system

raybeck,

Yes I did get the remote. I'll ask the dealer today. I'll let you know.

On the lights, just to reiterate, I have not changed the low beam bulbs yet. I've changes every other bulb possible on this car, though. IT looks really nice to have that "white/blue" color outside and inside the car. I am looking for an aftermarket HID kit for the H11 bulb. Since it is a new bulb, there aren't any kits available yet. I've contacted several places online and all have come back with the same answer, "we don't carry that type of kit." I got a response from one company that will produce the kit but the minimum order is 10. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for the info Mac. Guess I should read the forum more closely. I'll wait and see what you find out on the low beam bulbs. I bet your GX does look cool with the different color lights, would love to do the same! Good luck on the headphones.

Hey all, I just got word from the dealer. They will be providing the headsets. Apparently, the factory forgot to include them in the package.
