Mouse, diagnosis
I have had recurring problems with the VSC, Trac, and check engine light continuing to come on. I have taken it to the dealership several times, once the said it was because a rat had chewed through a harness. I payed to have the harness fixed and the lights came back on.
My real problem is that as I look on these forums I notice that the mouse excuse has come up several times when people take there vehicles in to the dealer. I am looking for other owners who have been given this excuse.

there are a few wires that can cause trigger the VSC lights, its either the speed sensor cables that run down the spindles or the cable into the brake booster in the engine bay, if a mouse chewed through either, you would have those problems, maybe they just replaced the wrong wire?

Or the mouse chewed through the cables in more than one place.
At least it wasn't a squirrel - those guys will fill an engine compartment with hickory nuts. AND chew on the wires.

When my secondary air pump went out the dealer said there was evidence of mice in the area. Would not fix it under warranty. Fixed it myself. The pump motor was burnt up. No wires were chewed.
