I picked up a 2008 Lexus GX 470 yesterday. I traded my 208 white IS for a 2008 white GX . The GX has only 42,400 miles on the odometer and is overall in really great shape. Pics:
For the TPMS light, see if the button under the steering wheel is pressed. The LX supports two sets of tire sensors (for winter & summer wheel sets), so yours might be on the other set. Otherwise, if the pressure is at the door sticker (all five tires) then it could be a transmitter in the tire, or the receiver. Get the codes read.
Don't know about the address book - no bluetooth on my 2004
I think you can register on the Lexus website and see the original option list - not sure.
The antenna is aftermarket. If it were factory, Lexus would have drilled a hole in the roof, and not snaked it up past the door where it could be cut.
I figured as much.
Does anyone know if all I need is an OEM antenna to get XM satellite? I guess I'll need to chase that antenna back through the car.

According to the instructions here it seems that this is indeed a "stock" install. Apparently satellite radio was installed at the dealer and this is how they did it. Granted, mine looks a bit half-assed but it's still likely "standard".
if the tpms light flashes for a min when you start the car and then stays on, the tpms system has problem. likely one or more of the sensors in your wheels (including spare) has gone bad and need replacement. that's what happened to us and ended up the one in the spare wheel was gone. if it's low tire pressure, the light just comes on, it doesn't flash
it doesn't look factory on the antenna, maybe the previous owner has an aftermarket kit installed. but you will likely have to get to back of the head unit and trace wires to find out
for the iphone, no, there is no way you can transfer contacts to the car. not on this gen5 nav. it wasn't until gen6 that lexus implemented how to do it
for the vin, i don't know of a good way. but if you get to a good service adviser or so at the lexus dealerships, they are able to use the vin to find all the details

I had a similar XM/Sirrius antenna that was "stock" but probably a dealer add on. I guess in the 2006/7 range thats the way it was done.
make sure the spare under the rig has the right psi or the light will come on
Bingo! I lowered the spare and saw that it was at only 19.5psi. Pumping it up to 32.5psi did the trick.
For what it's worth, there's some confusing information out there about the two TPMS settings, on for summer and one for winter. The switch on my 2008 is actually a button and it's just in front of my right knee. I had read that it was in the glovebox and searched for it forever. I suspect they either moved it over the years or placed it by the driver if the car has the multi-disc loader in the glovebox.

I went digging for the satellite receiver and found it in the trunk's driver side storage compartment. It's a Toyota model 86180-0W031 XM Receiver:
just like the instructions show. This leads me to believe I have a dealer installed XM unit. As I understand it, Japan doesn't have XM so it would make sense to install it stateside.
I stripped the insulation off of the split wire and attempted to solder the ends back together. The solder held and I get periodic bursts of music through the speakers, but the antenna clearly just needs to be replaced. The problem seems to be this connector:
which is exceptionally uncommon. Any advice on finding an antenna with the correct connector? The local Lexus dealer had a kit for $180 that will surely work, but it's a 6 year old design in all likelihood. I'd prefer to install a newer, cheaper antenna if at all possible.

FYI, I usually pump pare up to 40....safety net over time.
So I discovered a problem with my GX: The rear windows won't lower when using the driver's switches. The rear windows do work when using their own switches.
Yes go to each individual window and use switch to lower then raise all way up and hold for 2 seconds. Do this for each individual window and moonroof.
