New to Forum and GX470s
Hi. I'm going to probably be buying a 2007 GX470 w/ 90k miles. It's from Carmax and spent it's life in Texas. Anything I should look out for specifically? I've test drove a few of these that weren't in good condition from trade-ins to local dealers. Loved the vehicle just not the ones I drove. This one looks great. I plan on getting the maxcare extended coverage thru 150k miles.
I've been into Land Rovers since 2004. Owned several series I Discos and a four older 80s trucks that I played with when I was stationed in the UK. Still have one of them but part of my motivation in the GX is the rear swing door, the reliability, and the future ability to turn this bad johnny into an off road toy. Nothing extreme. I did that with the first Disco and then realized I really only need and want 32" tires and hardly any lift.

Welcome and congrats. Post up pics when you pull the trigger.
Remember the 90k service is a big one with the timing belt, water pump and potentially new fluids in the 4x4 bits.
Did you consider the slightly smaller 4Runner or much larger Sequoia? Both are appealing to me and way less $$$ than the big dog LX.
The LR4 is admittedly a great looking rig, but most of us here are scared $h1tless of their reliability and instead go with Toyo /Lexus.
