Default Replacing turn signals with LEDs

Ok, I can't seem to get straight info anywhere. I want to replace my turn signals (front) with LEDs because one went out (gives me an excuse). I can't seem to figure out exactly which bulbs to buy nor can I figure out if I need to get anything additional to make them work. I see things on a few websites, which say I may need the resistor (or whatever) to make it blink. But I can't figure out what, exactly, I need.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Your going to need an electronic LED bulb flasher unit to control the hyper flash after installing the LED bulbs.

I'd also like to get more info on this, I am so sick of changing those front turn signal bulbs.

Does anyone make LED bulbs with the resistors built in? I hate the idea of cutting or splicing into a factory harness.

Default Anyone know what I need for LED Turn Signals?

Still trying to find out exactly what I need to replace my front turn signals with LEDs. Everyone keeps telling me I need something in addition to the LED but nobody has told me exactly what I need and the part number or how to order it.

Anyone out there able to help?

Thanks.

You need High current load resistor to avoid getting hyper flashed. http://www.vleds.com

You don't need flasher anymore. You can install load resistors which will avoid hyper flashing. And the bulb type go to http://www.sylvania.com/en-us/applic...s/lrgmain.aspx

And pick up from http://www.vleds.com

Thanks. I saw this site and it's ridiculously confusing. I have no idea how to find what what I need. It directs you to a site to figure out which light you need--which I did--but I have no idea how to find it or this resistor. Is this a general item or is it specific to each vehicle? I can't find this info anywhere.'

Thanks again!

Not sure what you mean but I don't need flasher any more. I can understand I need the load resistor but how do I install it and how do I find out which one I need?

I tried looking at the VLEDs site before. Confusing as hell to find anything specific.

Thanks.

I can understand your confusion, I'll take a stab at this as it's been a while since I looked into it and wanted to know as well.

Last I heard, you have to modify your turn signal flasher relay in order to keep it from "hyperflashing" when using LED, or they now have led bulbs with the resistors already built in.

An example of the leds lights with the resistors built in:
http://store.ijdmtoy.com/No-Resistor.../canbus-2g.htm

Here is an explanation of modifying the stock flasher with a resistor:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...her-gx470.html

I don't believe they make an LED flasher relay that's plug and play for the GX (but I know they do for other models)

Maybe something has come along since then for the GX, in which case, I'd appreciate any users giving a link.
