Default Dun dun dun..... The evil airbags strike.

Well I encountered my first problem with the Lexus. The truck airs all the way down to the bump stops if it has been sitting for a few hours. I did some reading and it most likely seems like a small hole in one of the airbags. I have seen talk that it could be a bad valve or the height sensors going bad but how likely is that?

Ill hit the bags with a soapy water solution this weekend. Also does anyone know of a good tutorial on how to replace the airbags?

Thanks in advance.

Default Ridiculous Fix

I was just reading the other day some one used slime tire sealant to fix the leak.

If you find the leak after spraying soapy water might give sealant a try. May be it will fix the issue.

Here is a link for the thread where i read it.

I had a slower leak than you do. Mine took a day or so to bleed down.

I found it by putting the suspension on H, turn the engine off. I then crawled under the car and could here the air pssssting out.

I did the airbags myself. Very easy to do. There are a lot of threads. Here is one.

Thats a neat idea. Only thing I am worried about is that slime fouling the rest of the system.

How many years/miles

To the OP.

You can also do the air bag delete and scrap the entire setup. I did that as well as a mild lift. But you can just do the delete with no lift as well.
