Tension Pulley
Anyone have a non OEM part number, they have successfully installed, for a new Belt Tension Pulley? $100 plus shipping it a crime!!
I got one from good ole Ebay and the OEM washer bound up on the curve of the housing without me realizing. Melted a new belt.
It seems as if the old pulley has a slight lip that prevents the washer from pushing on the housing. The reviews on Amazon are crazy. Opposite for if it works or not with most.
The reviews on local parts are terrible but they fit.
Anyone have any luck???

Pole Position
Look on RockAuto. They have gates and AC Delco units for $40 before shipping, after discount (google the current 5% code). They will be reliable.

Accessory belt tensiner wheel?
The OEM one has a shrouded center bearing, I guess to keep dirt out?
I replaced my OEM one with one of the replace brands from O'reilly. It's been in there a long time now. It's unshrouded bearing.
The only thing I noticed is, the width of the pulley belt face was just as wide as the oem, so plenty of surface for full belt width to ride on, but, after install I noticed the belt edge rides almost right on the edge of the pulley, whereas with oem the belt was about dead center on the pulley. I guess considering how long mine has been in there, the slight off center makes no diff.
I think mine was the Gates item. ACdelco they sell too. I hate RA's return policy and no customer service. But I do buy from RA.
Local parts stores if you need it "today", no ship costs.
