Default Backup camera while driving

So I know there have been threads on this before but I have used the search function and haven't come up with anything. Can I use my backup camera while driving?

Thanks.

you will need to hack the system. i haven't checked for a while but you can check with prestigious society and see if they have anything specific for the gx470. i remember they had it for sequoia and tundra

I would just guess if you can get to the back up switch that powers the camera you should be able to fool the truck into thinking it is backing up by adding a toggle swithc to engage it when you want. The key is would this effect anything else downstream . The camera is activated when shifting into reverse a simple toggle switch could be added to overide the off on switch. Just my two cents

I have a hidden switch under my dash that allows me to engage the back up camera. I occasional use it when driving it lets me see the blinds spots you cant see from the rear view mirrors .

I am referring to the blind spots you encounter in a sc430. My other car is sc430 and its not easy seeing behind you with the rear view mirrors .,. My gx470 has the backup camera but I do not have a switch to use when going forward as I do on my sc430. The truck has better vision all around

When / if you find a solution, post it in this thread, I'd be interested to hear what you find out.

Lane changes, check on trailer/load, someone following with bad intentions, perhaps even blind spot
